Integration in Action--5th Grade Exhibition Project

This video was created by some of my students this past Spring. The 5th graders had to participate in an Exhibition project of their design. This class chose to work on the problems that Mountain Dew is causing in Appalachia. This video was part of their awareness campaign. I posted it to my TeacherTube account for them. They also held a walk-a-thon to raise money for a pediatric dental clinic in Kentucky.

These students created the basic images in Microsoft Paint and then enhanced them with Pivot's StickFigure Animation program. Then they put them all together with Windows Movie Maker. This group of students began working with Microsoft Paint in Kindergarten and First Grade. They had previously worked with Windows Movie Maker on projects in the Computer Lab. StickFigure Animation was a program that they found on their own and worked with. The idea for this video was the students and the only thing that I did for them was to post it to TeacherTube.
